Two men were shot and injured by an ex-conscript over a land sale dispute in Chonburi’s Banglamung district, an eyewitness said. One sustained a gunshot to his head and was in a life-or-death situation.

Shots were fired at two victims, Mr. Sanae Hok-on, 58, and Mr. Komsan Khollek, 37, around 11:30 PM yesterday, December 21st. The bullets grazed Komsan’s left cheek and hit his left arm. However, another four bullets directly hit Sanae in the head, left chest, left arm, and right arm, putting him in critical condition.

The incident occurred at a house in Soi Khao Makok 8 in the Huay Yai subdistrict. The first eyewitness, only identified as Tukkhata, told The Pattaya News the suspect was an ex-conscript, and he had run away after shooting the two victims. Before the shooting, the suspect had a verbal altercation with the victims before picking up a gun and spraying shots at them. Tukkhata said she ran away and did not get hit.

"The victims allegedly ganged up on Akanee and tried to beat him with sticks. Akanee then ran to grab his pistol to shoot them."

Yep, never bring a stick to a gun fight.

I would have thought 'never pick a fight with a drunken Thai' would be a better saying

Land dispute is a bit vague, trespass on land ? Steal land ? Cheat land ? Or some land on his wife?

Sadly reflects on how poorer people have to try and resolve disputes themselves!

Maybe a dispute about who owns the rights to dig the potato patch?

And why the mention of 'ex-conscript'?

it explains why some of the many many shots fired actually hit a target......
