JustThisOnePostOnly 570
I've often wondered why this doesn't happen more often. These boats can be incredibly expensive, and yet there they sit, tied to the dock with nothing more than a rope to keep it in place.

Internationally...this is not uncommon...many yachts get stolen and many of those are never found
Pattaya Spotter 6878
The Marco Polo is one of the scuba diving boats based in Phuket (and sometimes Kao Lak). A bit odd for it to just up and disappear...especially because the "boat boys" live and sleep on the boats.

I thought about that as well, but if you read the OP you'll see it's a different boat.
phetphet 6368
Don't these boats have trackers on them? Even if they don't, something that size is not the easiest thing to hide. If witnesses saw people boarding the boat at 8am on 28th, and the owner arrived to find it missing at 11am, it can't have gone far in three hours.

And by the time the search party reaches the search area more time will have lapsed, widening the area vastly again.
stevenl 33577
Just read that most likely it wasn't stolen but dragged her anchor.
