Daily News Thai Caption: Into loose stones....lost control

 

Muang Surin police and rescue services were called after a Chevrolet car being driven by a 41 year old man span off the road and under the conveyor belt of a road scraper.

 

It happened on the Surin to Chom Phra Road, KM marker 6.

 

The driver was rushed to hospital.

Locals said that this happened at roadworks where there were a lot of loose stones over the road. 

 

Daily News suggested this was a case of poor signage and lighting.

 

The car is being kept at the police station as investigations continue.

There's two excuses , more likely tinted windows , poor eye sight of the driver,

Driver is contemplating legal action against the Daily News for defamation stating the Chevy has excellent signage and good lights

Of course, normal drivers would have slowed down and driven carefully.

Normal is very subjective?

Road works are not well illuminated here, it's just one more hazard on the roads, however the pictures suggest the driver should have seen them unless the lights came on after the accident.
