Chinese funded operation or just Thais importing illegally from China?
Popular Post Gold Star 4468
Electronics has some very toxic stuff being processed, lucrative when done in the absence of environmental controls. These kinds of business will get more common when they start recycling EVs everywhere, regardless of the country of origin.
Purdey 2577
Perhaps the government might acknowledge there is a need for more recycling. If the result of operation Sword in China resulted in no imports of waste here there could have been an attempt to bring Thai recyclers into line. If anyone recycles illegally close them down and offer companies the opportunity to take over following the rules and laws.
AustinRacing 911
200t is a lot. Perhaps checking customs clearance mob who let the shipment through would be a good place to start, if they’re serious about it. 1

I guess they'll be given special permits, instead of having to setup shop in Cambodia.
