Daily News reported on the arrest of a motorcycle delivery rider who had a sideline - breaking into and stealing from cars.

Wichitchai, 44, or "Nai Saen" was picked up at the Odeon roundabout on Charoen Krung road in Bangkok.

Taken into evidence was his Honda Scoopy-i, a screwdriver and his delivery outfit.

He was charged with theft at night while disguising himself and using a conveyance.

The case began back on January 13th when a saleslady called Saowalak, 24, reported parking her Vios outside the temple of Wat Traimit that she was visiting to make merit.

When she returned to her car the left rear window was smashed and a 23,000 baht notebook, cloth bag worth 300 baht and ten costumes worth 15,000 baht had gone.

Plap Pla Chai police chief Pol Col Phanom Cheuathong said that CCTV belonging to the police and BMA and private individuals was examined that all pointed to Winitchai as the perpetrator.

A search of his room was made and he admitted to everything.

He said he sold the stolen items on the black market to get money for his children - his wife had left him.

He admitted to eight other similar offences in Samut Sakhon and the Bangkok metro area.

Anyone who lives valuables visible to anyone should deserves what coming to them, commonsense says don't tempt thieves, not only in Thailand, any country in the world..

car thieves are so sophisticated now that with a help of state of the art equipment, can brake into any car in the world and steal in 30 second or less...

Don't leave anything inside the car, take it with you or lock-it in the boot.

No they don't deserve to have their property stolen.   Stupid for leaving the property out to tempt a thief, yes!

Old school. A brick will suffice.
