Ukrainian Politician Expelled from Ruling Party After Posting Clip Swimming in Thailand

Lawmaker Mykola Tyshchenko is no stranger to controversy.

by Kyiv Post

A Ukrainian politician has been expelled from his party after posting a video of himself enjoying a swim in the azure, tropical seas of Thailand during what was purportedly a work trip.

Mykola Tyshchenko, a member of the Servant of the People faction, was in the country under the pretext of "establishing ties with the Ukrainian diaspora".

When the video appeared on social media on Thursday, Jan. 26, his party called an urgent meeting where it was decided to expel him. "It seems like not everyone understands what a people's deputy must be doing in the war-torn country," the head of the party’s parliamentary faction, Davyd Arakhamiya, said.

The scandal comes just days after the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) decided to ban state officials from traveling abroad for anything other than business trips.

Under martial law, Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 are banned from leaving the country except in a limited number of cases which require a special permit from the government.

However, as the new legislation hasn't been finalized yet, male MPs can still travel abroad with a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and confirmation of the status of lawmaker.

Billions of dollars are going to finance vacations for Ukrainian politicians? Care to share a link with us?

Totally agree ! Many billions of dollars going to the cause! This pic gives rise to suspicions!

“More than a dozen senior officials were fired or resigned this week, including a deputy prosecutor who had come under fire in the press for a holiday in Spain, in the biggest shakeup of the Kyiv leadership since the war began”

Why to deny him a bit relaxation? Didn't he claimed that he has come for talks about cooperation?  Perhaps to get some tanks?

Acting more decisively and promptly to dismiss transgressors than at least one Government I can think of.

Suffice to mention that most of them had been very helpful to install him on this post, being from the same show business company, afterwards awarded by posts close to him.

Or so you would have us believe.

Also others enjoying warm countries at the sea side. Yulia Tymoschenko, the former PM, and her husband, were spotted by Twitter in Dubai.

Nice clean beach he found.  Anyone know where?

Or is that classified information?

Found in a undisclosed garage...

It's all just a misunderstanding. He's in the sea looking at Thai Submarines, that Thailand are thinking about donating.

No wonder they are losing the war.

SCUBA tanks by the look. They need to stop things like this if they want to the aid to continue coming in because any anti-aiders will jump on it.

Why do politicians always forget that in the digital world photos fly globally?

It would be with TAT. No other tourists.

I am sure that the men in the trenches on the Frontline fully support this politician doing it hard in Thailand on their behalf.

The politician should be conscripted immediately into a Frontline position, so that he can contemplate his stupidity in posting selfies of himself working hard on his tan during a major war.

Believe it or not. The wiki of Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the fired deputy of Zelensky's president office, before a TV producer,  I can no longer see here.

Anyway, there are also others who report about him:

https://news.yahoo.com/kyrylo-tymoshenko-lost-war-survival-124000651.html

Apparently, not clear whether it's a relation to Yulia Tymoshenko, the ex-PM, at least not reported. People from her party now require her resignation from the party leader position, it's quite difficult for her to work the Kyev office from the Dubai beach (as shown on YT).

I was just shocked that they won’t allow men 18-60 to fly out of the country. I guess they don’t want to lose potential fighters, but boy I’d hate being stuck there with no choice.

Really? Ukraine is fighting for survival and you're shocked?
