Photo by VnExpress/Nhat Vy A man in HCMC was arrested Tuesday after stealing 108 taels, or four kg, of gold from a shop two days earlier. Pham Van Nu, 37, was arrested by the police and is under investigation for stealing. On Sunday, the owner of a gold shop on Ha Huy Giap Street in HCMC’s District 12 discovered that all the jewelry prepared for sale on the God of Wealth Day, worth VND4.5 billion ($192,000), had disappeared. God of Wealth Day falls on the 10th day of the lunar year, or on Tuesday this year.
