Drawing Thais to travel to Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Tourism Malaysia has discussed with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and AirAsia how to get more Thai tourists to travel to this country by air rather than by road. Its deputy director-general Razali Mohd Daud said they had not been successful in getting Thais to travel by air as more than 70 per cent of them preferred to travel to Malaysia by road. Razali said Thailand was Malaysia's established market for a long time, but the dwindling number of Thai tourists to this country might be due to political instability in that country.
