snoop1130
Janjan (not his real name) plays with his toys during a power outage. Today, he lives with his adoptive parent Trix Clasara and her family. Bernice Beltran This story was produced in partnership with the Pulitzer Center ZAMBALES, Philippines — In their bungalow in the seaside town of San Narciso, Zambales province, Trix and Brando Clasara take turns working, running a household, caring for their three children, and figuring out why their two-year-old adopted son Janjan* throws tantrums. The 37-year-old mother joined Facebook groups to get advice from Filipino adoptive parents but most of them avoided discussing their struggles. “It's the stigma,” Trix says. “They didn’t want others to think that adopting a child was a mistake.” Full Story: https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2023/02/06/2242952/left-limbo-breaking-stigma-surrounding-adoption-philippines -- © Copyright Philstar 2023-02-
