An 81-year-old German man crashed his motorbike while navigating a curve in Pattaya and passed away on Wednesday, February 15th.

 

The accident scene was a curve in Soi 14 in the Naklua sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi. Pattaya Police and Sawang Boriboon rescue services rushed there after receiving a report of the accident.

 

The victim, identified as an 81-year-old German national, who was identified only as Mr. Hans, was found dead in a pool of blood on the road. He was lying upwards and suffered critical head injuries. Inside the victim’s pocket was an undisclosed amount of cash, one smartphone, personal documents, and an ATM card. The police kept them as evidence.

i wonder what that choice of letting go of your freedom at that age must feel like. 

A sad event. As a fellow 81 years old I have given up driving cars this year because I am not confident that my reaction times are as quick as they should be. Must be even more critical if riding motor bikes.
