Scott
Former US President Donald Trump has accused federal officials of "indifference" to an Ohio town that is reeling from a toxic train derailment. On a visit to East Palestine, Mr Trump claimed his presence had spurred the Biden administration to devote more resources to this month's crash. Local residents have expressed frustration at what they saw as a lack of answers from officials. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-64736679
Popular Post vandeventer
Good on Ya Mr. Trump, lets hope this is a wake up call for Biden and his party. He is even sending bottled water there from all his hotels and passing out those MAGA hats which everyone loves so much. 1 1
Popular Post SunnyinBangrak
Good old Trump, nicely filling the leadership vacuum and showing what an America 1st President should be doing ie visiting areas of the homeland that had an emergency and needed support, rather than showboating on the other side of the world and further escalating the proxy war between Russia and Biden's USA. I note when there is a REAL environmental disaster - man made in this case - the usual climate alarmists are strangely quiet. 1 1 2

Spot on my friend and More importantly it is a political win for 45 efforts and America First supporters to regain control over the WH,come 2024 . Any time 45 can shame the biden divider,is a win for us imop. Thomas Gift, founding director of the Centre on U.S. Politics, University College London, U.K., told Newsweek on Saturday that the Biden administration's approach to the East Palestine derailment could have major political implications. "Criticism of Biden's flat-footed response to the Ohio tragedy is well-deserved," Gift said. "Even if just as a symbolic show of support, the fact that it took a senior administration official roughly two weeks to visit the site isn't excusable given the scale and magnitude of the incident." https://www.newsweek.com/joe-biden-has-handed-donald-trump-huge-win-ohio-response-1782185 Edited February 23, 2023 by riclag 1

More deregulation, financially crippled oversight and big business dictating Government policy 6

If one thing distinguished Trump it his compassion for all Americans in the wake of a disaster.. For example: New probe confirms Trump officials blocked Puerto Rico from receiving hurricane aid The Trump administration also obstructed an investigation looking into why it was depriving the U.S. territory of congressionally approved funds, the report found. The administration of former President Donald Trump obstructed an investigation looking into why officials withheld about $20 billion in hurricane relief for Puerto Rico following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Maria in 2017, one of the deadliest U.S. natural disasters in over 100 years, a new report says. A Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General report made public Thursday also found that tensions between the department and the Office of Management and Budget resulted in unprecedented procedural hurdles that produced delays in the disbursement of the congressionally approved funds. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/new-probe-confirms-trump-officials-blocked-puerto-rico-receiving-hurri-rcna749 Trump told senators he thinks Puerto Rico got too much funding compared to mainland states. Two weeks after a “bomb cyclone” storm, the American Midwest is still underwater. The South is still reeling from storms and hurricanes months later. And an ongoing disaster is still underway in Puerto Rico, which experienced the deadliest natural disaster in US history in 2017’s Hurricane Maria. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/3/29/18285367/congress-disaster-relief-trump-puerto-rico Edited February 23, 2023 by placeholder 2 1

Popular Post placeholder
It's not just about brakes. Far from it. YEARS BEFORE EAST PALESTINE DISASTER, CONGRESSIONAL ALLIES OF THE RAIL INDUSTRY INTERVENED TO BLOCK SAFETY REGULATIONS The Obama-era railroad regulations also included a rule to use freight cars made of special reinforced materials for the transport of oil and hazardous materials, as the New York Times reported. Of the freight cars that derailed earlier this month, three were of the stronger type and were not breached, while one of the freight cars carrying propylene glycol that did not have the enhanced protections was breached. https://theintercept.com/2023/02/21/east-palestine-rail-safety-congress/ 3

It didn't burst.
