Hello,

I would like to know if I understood everything about the visa for staying in Thailand.

First of all, I'm the CEO of my own company and I'm planning to go to Thailand for several months (6-12).

Here's my plan and tell me if I'm right:

I will go in Thailand as a tourist for a period of 80-90 days. I will then applied for the 3 years non-immigrant visa B (Business only). This visa would give me an extra 90 days and I will have to leave the country for an extension of an extra 90 days and so on for 3 years.

I will have a Thai company under contract that will give me all the paperworks I need.

My questions now are:

- How long do I have to leave the country before thinking of coming back?

- Getting the visa B, is it hard or with the good papers it is ok?

- Where is the easiest border to get the Visa run?

Thanks in advance

Regards

You cannot apply for the non imm B visa in Thailand.

You should do that before you leave home.

You will need a letter of introduction/job offer from the Thai company.

If you have the right paperwork the Thai company should be able to extend the initial 3 months

for a year. Then there will be no need to do visa runs.

If you do need to leave the country then you must get a re-entry permit from Immigration in Thailand.

If you do have to do visa runs, you can exit and re-enter Thailand with in minutes.

Where to go depends on where you are based.

From Bangkok, Cambodia is probably the easiest by road.

Ok so I can't apply to a visa B while I'm in Thailand...

It is mandatory to apply for it in our country or any other country will be ok... Because I need to go in Thailand to find the company that will suit our needs first and then I will have all the paperworks.

Or do you have another solution for me

You can go to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore to get the Non Imm B visa.

However your stated objective for visiting Thailand is Business?

You are seeking business a partner(s).

A business visa before you leave would be more appropriate.

You can use your home company to support your application,

and I do not believe you will have a problem obtaining the visa.

This will be a multi-entry visa so you will been to exit and re-enter every 90 days

Others may be able to advise on the most friendly Thai consulate in Canada.
