Photo by VnExpress/Thanh Nguyen Ho Chi Minh City’s labor department announced Thursday that 15 businesses were ready to offer 3,200 jobs to 2,300 workers who are about to be laid off by Taiwanese shoemaker Pou Yuen. Department deputy director Nguyen Van Lam said that Pou Yuen, a supplier of Adidas, Nike and Reebok, was planning to lay off workers due to a drop in order numbers. Pouyuen Vietnam Company’s HR department has confirmed that it will lay off over 2,300 workers in March.
