February 26, 20233 yr any recommendation for hotels near soi 5/nana bts with very good internet for remote work Thank you
February 26, 20233 yr I have stayed in several hotels on the bottom end of Suhhumvit and in my opinion none have offered consistently good, fast or reliable internet. It's not their primary revenue stream. Maybe trial AIS and DTAC data packages on your smartphone, pick the best one and go standalone, either via your smartphone or additional personal/pocket wi-fi hardware. https://store.ais.co.th/en/accessories/pocket-wifi-home-wifi.html?limit=all https://www.dtac.co.th/en/dtac-athome-plus
February 26, 20233 yr The Dynasty group has hotels in that area. This is probably the best and the internet is normally quite good. Used by lots of oil workers. https://www.dynastygrande.com/rooms/grande-deluxe-king-bed.html

You can then try pot luck with the wi-fi at a Dynasty Group hotel or the Marriott and use your pocket gadget as a backup. My hotel recommendation is Parkroyal Suites (formerly Phachara Suites) on Soi 6, opposite Dynasty Grande. On a recent stay, their internet was better/faster than when I stayed long-term back in 2011 when it was Phachara. However, like a lot of newer commercial-grade wi-fi systems for hotels and businesses with higher traffic, there's an auto-disconnect function to keep bandwidth up. I found I had to re- log-in a couple of times on both my devices so ended up mostly using my always-on AIS internet on one and hot-spotting.
February 28, 20233 yr Why don’t you just buy a SIM card. Pretty much required if your doing remote work.
