Authorities will boost surveillance and  security and while improving protection for residents along the southern border with Malaysia , the decision comes following a meeting between security forces, government officials and police.


A government military spokesman said: the priority is to make sure state officials carry out their duties and ensure residents can go about their daily lives and business activities safely. 

 

The Chinese embassy says it supports Thai authorities efforts to deal with Chinese nationals involved in illegal grey business and activities.


Police have been searching for illegal associations that are used as fronts for many illicit Chinese operations.


The embassy added.. illegal businesses are operated by a small number of individuals who do not represent mainstream Chinese citizens.

 

FORMER MP and graft-buster Chuwit Kamolvisit today challenged a former Special Branch policeman to a boxing match as he arrived outside of the Met police headquarters.


Political hunger strikers Tawan and Bam announced they will no longer take water or supplements after being on hunger strike for over forty days. 


Their decision came after another man was sent to pre-trial detention on Wednesday. The two are calling for the right for all political detainees to be granted bail.


Thailands Royal Navy said it will seek 200 million baht  from the government to salvage HTMS Sukhothai which sank off the prachuab khiri khan coast last December. 76 crew members were rescued.


The bodies of 24 sailors have been found and five remain missing after the ship capsized.

A high-rise building under construction in Hong Kong erupted in flames last night, residents were moved out from nearby buildings to safer locations. Two people were injured by falling debris,

All Aerotrain operations at the main terminal of Kuala Airport have been suspended until further notice, following a breakdown yesterday,  the managing director said the trains are more than 25 years old.
