Pattaya — Pattaya Police in a joint operation with many other agencies such as Thai Immigration searched two nightlife venues in Pattaya last night to prevent human trafficking, minors, illegal drugs, and the carrying of weapons.

The operation was compelled by a recent raid in the Patong area of Phuket, which exposed human trafficking and child sexual exploitation activities. The search in Pattaya took place at 11 PM yesterday, March 21st, and according to officers randomly targeted two nightspots in Soi Bongkot, South Pattaya.

Many agencies took part in carrying out the operation, namely the Pattaya Police, Chonburi immigration, and Tourist Police.

Not sure it is so random as it is the 3rd raid in that area of late.

Temples, Som tam, Phad Thai, the thrill of riding a motorcycle without a helmet, dodgy bungy jumps, the possibility of fines & extortion.

Thrill seekers to round it all up.

From a list of previously alerted clubs.

If they can't find prostitution in Pattaya, how can they find exploited minors?

Must be such fun for the patrons in Pattaya and Phuket, having cops roaming up and down the strips in gangs looking for younger than allowed hookers....when there is no prostitution in Thailand.

I am convinced that only the media had the information that this will happen so that they could be there in time to report about it. ????????????

Exactly how will they find an underage prostitute in a place they cannot find any prostitutes ?

This will do great things for tourism in Thailand! Seeing a uniformed bunch of armed Mafia looking for shakedowns and extortion maybe plant some drugs.... Yep just what you want on a holiday. And they complain about patrons staying away with profits down.....
