PRIME MINISTER Prayut Chan-o-cha said today (Mar. 30) that he is too busy to go monitor efforts to put out a huge fire raging across three mountains in Nakhon Nayok but Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan is free to do so in keeping with his duty, Naewna newspaper said.

He added that he had talked about the inferno with ministers and agencies helping extinguish it including Interior and Defence ministries with the disaster having been fully discussed but if anyone wants to go see it, then go.

When asked that Interior Minister Anupong Paochinda is also going to inspect the huge blaze Prayut replied that he was going on his behalf as he had ordered him to do so last night, with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment likewise ordered to do so.

What about their joint duty to prevent them from starting, or is that a mute point?

In case there was any confusion about the wording of the headline:

"Prayut BAD, Prawit GOOD"

This blatant piece of partisan bias was brought to you by THAI NEWSROOM (Can we have the money now please Toad?)

This is a bushfire or wildfire for my US friends. Pretty much only a few ways these can start. Accidental, lightning or deliberate. All countries that suffer from bushfires/wildfires know that prevention of the 3 is neigh on impossible especially so for the last two.

Can see no point in either going, there's already enough hot air there already so why add more?

Looks that way, the new poster boy - Thaksin is slipping behind and Prayut is now a non-starter.

Probably still to busy trying to fix the lottery price him promise back in 2014 ????????????

Prayut afraid of lung cancer from the air pollution.

What's Prawit going to do use his trousers as a fire blanket  ????

Prayuth fiddles while Thailand is on fire.

There must be an election coming soon.
