BlueScouse
I've just had ADSL from TTT Maxnet fitted, using a desk top computer. I would like information on how to conect my laptop to it. Tried disconnecting desktop and plugging wire into laptop, but nothing happened. Was given a password and username.Tried getting new connection using these but no luck. Can anybody help me,simple instructions please. Don't want to have both on line at same time. Thanks.

Rice_King
On your desktop machine, go to Network Connections, locate your MaxNet connection and right-click on it, choose Properties. Now explore all of the configuration settings and write them down. Now go to your laptop and, if you have not already done so, in Network Connections use the Create A New Connection wizard. First window: Connect To The Internet. next wondow, Set up connection manually next window, Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password For the remainder of the settings, you will use the same settings as your desktop machine. Good luck. Edited July 5, 2007 by Rice_King
