A BRIGHT YOUNG Thai man has created a useful app where users can pin public toilets in various areas for others to find and use in an emergency after having direct experience searching for one in the summer heat, TV Channel 7 said.

Facebook user Mr. Settasit Settagaroon wrote about two emergencies that led to creating “Khee: Pin a Toilet” app with this post having gone viral on Thai social media.

The first one occurred on February 15 when he and his friend took a van from Victory Monument to Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus, to have a snack with another friend studying there.

Sadly, as I get older, I am impressed by this idea!

Does this app include the thousands of miles of roadside hedges AKA urinals?

There's an old saying, oft repeated by my Dad as he got older. "Son, when you're my age, never trust a fart or go past a public toilet".

Thailand presents some difficulties. Holding back those frequent un-trustable farts while mincing your way in the general direction of a public building that you pray has a public toilet is a harrowing experience.

Try the Incontinental hotel

I was surprised how Bangkok doesn't really open until 10am.  I literally had to walk in with the shopping mall staff one time just to use the crapper.  Luckily I was dressed like a wage slave so no one stopped me.

It's a good idea. I wonder if you can filter out disgusting (unclean) squat toilets. Needing a pee for me can be a problem sometimes and the lack of toilets on the BTS etc systems is problematic.

Needs a review feature.

"Great toilet. A++. Would <deleted> here again."

As I age I wonder if the toilets are close enough together to go out at all?

I remember once being taken to an outdoor restaurant once by Thai friends.

During the evening i needed a pee, walked into the one and only outdoor shared toilet to be faced with a squat basin, and a bucket in the corner filled with soiled paper...

I backed out without turning around and held on.

I tried to print out the instructions for the app and it said first to Control-P. I've not been able to do that for years so sod it.

(Thank you Mr Gary Delaney)

Go and see a doctor if untrustable farts are a thing.  Maybe mince quickly if that is how you need to walk because if you are experiencing this frequently there must be something wrong with you!!

I guess one could always be fitted with the fashionable idea of [old guys] adult diapers.

Done amazing things with the unnoticeable designs now.

That's true, but in LOS you'll never have to search long for a public toilet, unlike abroad.

Just searched for this app on Google Playstore, no luck.

Does anybody know how to download this app?

Wanted to update it with a fairly clean toilet I found today in the least unlikely place in Pattaya!

Look for a different place to eat. ????

All kidding aside, probably one of the more useful apps.

Outside of the malls one might be caught short...and a lot of those places keep the doors locked until 11am.

The advantage of Bangkok is that there is a very large river that flows 24 hours a day.????
