April 18, 20233 yr OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma's governor is seeking the resignation of four county officials after a newspaper's audio recording apparently captured some of them complaining about two of the paper's journalists and knowing hit men and where two holes are dug. A portion of the recording was released by the paper, and it also appears to capture one of the four making racist comments about Black people. Gov. Kevin Stitt said Sunday he was seeking the resignations of McCurtain County Sheriff Kevin Clardy and three other county officials: sheriff’s Capt. Alicia Manning, District 2 Commissioner Mark Jennings and Jail Administrator Larry Hendrix. READ MORE https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/oklahoma-officials-accused-talk-killing-journalists-98646726

April 18, 20233 yr Popular Post So they get caught in a conspiracy to commit murder and the Governor politely suggests they resign. Am surprised the offenders didn't just get moved to 'inactive posts'... Oklahoma behaving just like Saudi Arabia in its treatment of journalists.
April 18, 20233 yr Only thing i would say about this story is that if we all were held accountable in our lives for our private conversations with friends - even in jest - not one of us would be free

I listened to the recording. It was perhaps a little bit more than chit chat in jest.
