webfact Posted April 29, 2023 Share Posted April 29, 2023 Picture: Siam Rath A large king cobra measuring 4.20 meters in length and weighing 7.6 kilograms was found hiding in a resort in Dan Chang District, Suphanburi Province. Chanpen Ngernruangroj, a local resident, discovered the snake while inspecting the resort's premises and alerted the Suphanburi Rescue Foundation for assistance. Volunteer Mr. Nirun Mankong and his team from the rescue foundation promptly arrived with the necessary equipment, including ropes, nooses, and iron hooks. Despite the cobra's attempts to fight back, the rescuers successfully captured the snakem reported Siam Rath. Picture: Siam Rath Mankong believes the king cobra had been living in the nearby forest and ventured into the resort area due to the dry season's high temperatures and difficulty in finding food.
