Both apps have different ergonomics. Neither seems to have the edge regarding translation accuracy. However, and this is big news if you are learning Thai at a fairly advanced level, voice-to-text is much better in SayHi. Where Google Translate all too often contrives to freeze after just one word, or to truncate the beginning of a sentence, SayHi does a good job. I will from now on be using SayHi to decipher Thai vids in Youtube.

I had examples where Google spit nonsense in Thai and SayHi at least came close.

Found one, it's from some article about electric vehicles.

ชาร์จไฟบ้าน ไม่ง้อน่ามันแพง

SayHi: Charging the house isn't expensive.
Google: Charging at home. Don't reconcile. It's expensive.

What is meant: charging at the house isn't expensive.

With an "at the house.." SayHi would be fine.

And Google is garbage, distorting.

I should say that I always counter check with a paid Thai/German dictionary (splitting the words) with native speaker for all words.
