The deputy leader of the Move Forward Party, says she is confident that the Pheu Thai Party will remain in the coalition despite a disagreement over the House Speaker position. With Move Forward securing the speaker post, she believes they can pursue their agenda, including constitutional amendments, leading to the possibility of a new constitution.

 

The government announced the state of emergency in force across most of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat will be extended by another three months. 


Separately, the Move Forward Party said it would aim to revoke the emergency decree, which has been in force in the deep South for 19 years, adding 
The decree had not improved the situation in the south.

 

The royal thai air force yesterday confirmed it’s proposed purchase of F35 fighter jets from the United states has fallen through. Time constraints were given as the reason while the United states earlier stated it was concerned that infrastructure  and security at air facilities in Thailand were not yet ready,


The U.S and Thailand would discuss preparations for a future supply of F-35A jets, while Thailand would now consider the purchase of F-16, and F-15 E Strike Eagle fighters.

 

The police will press charges against a company that imported cyanide compounds and sold them to other retailers. This action follows an investigation revealing that the alleged serial killer, "Aem Cyanide," purchased cyanide from a reseller for the purpose of killing at least 13 people. In response, the deputy chief of police organized a meeting to address gaps in Thailand's Hazardous Substances Act and identify any companies involved in the illegal resale of imported cyanide.

South Korea has successfully launched its home built Nuri rocket and placed 8 satellites into orbit. Shortly after the Sejong Station in Antarctica made contact with the main satellite,  Korea aims to offer regular launch services and is" due to carry out three more launches of Nuri by 2027.


Japan scrambled fighter jets yesterday after at least 2 Russian "intelligence-gathering" aircraft were spotted off its coast along the Pacific Ocean. Japan has joined Western allies in sanctioning Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine.


Vietnam yesterday, lodged an accusation against a Chinese survey vessel and its accompanying ships for violating its sovereignty. It demanded that Beijing immediately withdraw the vessels from its waters. Vietnam and China have been engaged in a longstanding territorial dispute over a resource-abundant area in the South China Sea.
