How to dispose of an unused computer in Phuket

Hi All,

 

I'd like to dispose of my PC that I never use again.

Do you know how to dispose of it or where to take

it to erase my personal data on it?

you can either do a factory re setting of the machine, that will wipe out the HD clean or take the the HD out and dispose the PC anywhere,

remove hard drive and take a hammer/drill to it

There is a little app can get from the web and save into a bootable memory stick ( or CD ROM if applies) , then boot the computer from that device, it will then safely wipe the hard drives by setting every bit to random 0s or 1s..., multiple times...! 

 

This is what we used to do with our office computers 10 or 15 years ago.... ????
