My purse got lost or stolen when going out in Pattaya.

I lost only small money, but my Thai driving licenses are gone.

What I have to do? Unfortunately I did not keep copies of the licenses (car and motorbike).

Hi Moo9. Sorry to hear of the loss. I am almost certain that replacements can be issued from the ORIGINAL driving test centre where they were issued to you. Make sure you inform the police as well.

You don't need a police report. But it wouldn't hurt.

Just go to the Land Transport Office with your passport.

You do need to have a Non Immigrant visa though.

Well I went to the Police and today to the Land Transport Office. They require for license replacement:

1 Copy of the Police Report

each 2 photos for car and motorcycle license

2 copies of the passport

2 copies of the visa in the passport

I only took 3 photos with me, so I have to return there tomorrow.

Man, it's a heat in this building in Pattaya, packed with people....

Also you can wait a few days and hope you get it back in the mail, some theives here have a bit of heart. My friend got his walled jacked last weeked, 10K baht cash, debited 40K off the debit card, but they sent his Debit Card, DL, and Thai ID card back to the address on the card. They even sent back the wallet! Just with no cash in it.... True story.
