Maybe you should re-title this post as "5 Things You Can't Live Without in Thailand"

If you do I'll try to think of some answers more specific to Thailand.

As this thread has been started in the 'Thailand Forum', I kind of took it as implicit!

As this thread has been started in the 'Thailand Forum', I kind of took it as assumed!

Well from reading some of your previous posts that's a first. :o

Ok, here goes:

1: Computer/Internet connection (Vital for work/money).

2: English language reading material (Books, magazines, newspapers etc)

3: Fishing rod and tackle

4: Full English Breakfast (Got to agree with you on this one)

5: UBC/Cable

1) The love of a good woman

2) Good music

3) Good books

4) Good food

5) The love of a bad woman

If I miss things from my list that are basics such as air/food/money, I am left with.

The BBC World Service

Access to a good book shop (now and again)

My Car

Health Insurance

And yes, a good breakfast once a week.

Communications (telephone and internet).

Vegemite.

Sense of Humour.

Women.

Transport.

AS for number 3 (fishing rod etc) I don't know that I would bother. Or are you saying that the rivers in Thailand are full of salmon and trout?

If they are the Thais haven't discovered them yet.

1. The love of my Thai.

2. Aircon and Ice.

3. Working Wireless Internet access with phone capability.

4. My custom built home and view with UBC.

5. Comfortable retirement income (granted less than elsewhere).

Salmon and Trout? No, but there are plenty of other species in Thailands waters.

Angling is a hobby of mine which I do for enjoyment and relaxation. I have no interest in eating my catch, I let them go, so I'm not concerned about which species I catch.

I can highly recommend the angling in Thailand, although as you point out there may not be many opportunities for fly fishing.

1) Aircon.

2) Motorbike.

3) Good drinking companions from home.

4) Thai friends.

5) Branston Pickle (sad I know!!).

If you think your a man to jet ski think again.

I call you a wimp!

A dumb one at that! Get out a take a swim with your own body to get around instead of polluting up the beach with noise and air pollution.

Its not a sport its a suck on the planet Earth!

Get a real life! Wake up!

Or just hit something quickly and get the .... out of here, either one will work!

Jet ski is the worst thing here in Thailand!

Lighten up, it was a tongue in cheek comment. :o

We're not really evil beach polluting jet-skiers, I feel offended to be accused of such a sordid practice....

Aircon

Small restaurants

In no particular order,...

Small restaurants

Smile

Reading again my posting, it sounds like the 4 C of Singapore:

Cash

Car

Condominium

Credit Card

Except that in Thailand, at least for me, it is the three S.

But I'm sure some of our very imaginative members can find something better.

The whole alphabet is available,... :o

the things i *can't* live without are:

aircon

internet

phone

cnn

swedish penis enlarger

:o

My wife and my four children.

Otherwise

A smiling face, laughter, sigh, a cuddle, a happy mood

Then there is an alternative list.

Air, water, food, clothing & my home.

Or yet another.

Books, Video, Music, Good Food, Drink.

Last, but not least.

my work, employees, customers, suppliers, landlord

Probably best to stop there but the list of "left out" is much longer.

Five things you definitely can't live without in Thailand??? Hmmm....

1. Xanax!!!

2. Patience

3. A sense of humor

4. A cast iron stomach that can fight off all types of bacteria

5. Air-conditioning
