Defiant Pita tells supporters in Pattaya his party to stay put in 8-party coalition

MFP may not be walking away from the coalition but I fear the coalition is edging away from MFP. Which is sad but (I suspect) unavoidable.

Pita/MFP (now) need to focus on the long game ie May next year (death of the Senate as currently constituted) and the next election whenever it's held.

A glimmer of hope?

Just been posted on my Facebook page here in Cambodia 24 July 2023 (for reference):

Pita may get another chance for PM post as ombudsmen question lawmakers’ decision against him
.
The three ombudsmen are unanimously questioning the constitutionality of parliamentarians blocking Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat from being renominated as PM candidate.
.
The Office of Ombudsmen announced on Monday that the regulators have decided to ask the Constitutional Court to see if the Parliament decision last week was constitutional. It also wants the court to suspend the second round of PM voting set for Thursday.
