Juristic want's to ban weed possession in the building - are there other weed free condos?
I don't think anyone should be producing any kind of smoke in a condo. Whether it's from a joint, a cigarette, a cigar, cooking food, etc. Shouldn't be permitted. -

Did you eat any street food lately?
Yeah, I ordered some Moo Ping the other day on Grab and tried to offer the driver a 20B tip, but he refused. Probably figured if a Farang was eating Moo Ping I must be poorer than he is. 😁 -

Saudia Airlines - Choose Carefully
Tosh, I very much can 'live without booze for a few hours'. I have in fact, just gone 5 months without a drop of alcohol. You should maybe, not spout off without knowing the full details. A couple of glasses of wine and I usually wake up at the destination. A carrier that has such rules - which are not the norm in air transport, should in my opinion, make it quite clear that they do not serve alcohol. Many Arab states have quite stiff alcohol laws but often relax them for foreigners. -

Changing from a non o based on retirement to non o based on marriage
Hi all, im currently living in Thailand on a non o visa ( and subsequent extensions) based on retirement, all my stamps and extensions etc are in my uk passport, I have dual nationality so I also have an Irish passport, im pencilling in april 2025 (not sure of exact date yet) to get married, my extension of stay expires on the 24th may 2025 , this is in my uk passport but I want to get married in April using my Irish passport but if I go to the Irish embassy in Bangkok I don’t have any entry stamps or anything related to Thailand in my Irish passport, my question is will they refuse to deal with me because I don’t have any entry stamps or visas in my Irish passport, I have everything in my uk passport. just a bit of clarification, im here on my uk passport which runs out in June 2025, I want to use my Irish passport as the embassy do the letters regarding income for immigration and they are a lot easier to deal with than the uk embassy, also my Irish passport expires in 2029. my plan was to apply for an appointment with the Irish embassy to get my affirmation to marry sorted out, get married in April then leave Thailand in may just before my extension of stay runs out, have a week or so in Vietnam then return in my Irish passport and start the process of my non o based on marriage and eventually an extension of that…sorry it’s about long winded but it’s hard to explain in a typed question. looking forward to any advice many thanks -

SCB Easy Account December Interest Issue
I went to SCB today and the teller called a customer service line and the guy said that perhaps my total interest at all banks exceeded 20K baht. This sounded like he might have been making something up because I figured how would SCB know whether or not someone had other accounts which would bring the total interest over 20K per year. When I got home I checked my other banks and they had also withheld tax in December. The banks had never withheld tax before because I had jumped through hoops to make sure no tax was being withheld from any of my accounts.. So it's possible that individual banks are hooked into a Revenue Dept database and because I earned more than 20K in interest this year or perhaps last year that's the reason tax was withheld. Or perhaps all farangs are now having tax withheld as of December. Even though my interest from all banks is greater than 20K, I won't owe any tax and will get a refund. -

What about loans
Has any body tried and succeed to get a loan of the government (yours) without paying any interest? I did today and I am surprised I can. Now you can bash people or country's but just a question
