Nakhon Pathom, Thailand – Chaos ensued as an infant was stolen from a delivery room at Bang Len Hospital. In a recent development, the authorities swiftly apprehended the suspect who claimed he desired a child.

The incident has raised suspicions of human trafficking connections, potentially linked to the infamous "Little Toh" case involving an 8-month-old boy who vanished mysteriously, reported Thai Rath.

Following a social media outcry, local resident Saowarot Sapsamreng posted about the stolen infant and the person of interest. This led the police to apprehend the suspect, Nanthakit Silaprasert, 43, from a house opposite the missing child's residence.

The mother of the infant, Yuparattana Thetsanam, 26, expressed relief upon her child's recovery, although she remains deeply traumatized.

Nanthakit admitted to the theft and expressed a desire for a child. Authorities are investigating whether his actions are tied to a larger human trafficking network, given his extensive bank accounts and considerable debts.

Despite the infant's recovery, authorities continue to probe the case's potential links to the previous "Little Toh" disappearance, reinforcing the need for cooperation in safeguarding children's well-being.

Assistant Police Chief Jakkrit Krausuntorn has led the questioning of Nanthakit, who reportedly confessed to the crime, stating that he drove a red and black Honda Wave motorcycle to the hospital to steal the infant.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and potential connections.
