Why do you need that done, it could be interesting.....?

Giving some thought to buying some vintage cars motorbikes and tooling on them as a hobby.  Comes in handy prior to any overhauls IF the lab reads are accurate.  Same for just putting mileage on normal rides.  Normally costs about 23usd for a basic test but something more extensive usually runs 60usd.
if I can’t find here I’ll just bring back a handful of kits from the states and send them from Thailand.

I was thinking the same thing. If running a medium speed diesel on a genset for 8months straight or more maybe a test would tell us something but for hobby vehicles, I am not so sure. Or maybe on a million mile commercial truck so someone in an office can decide if it needs to be taken off the road for a new engine.

Most vintage cars have an oil pressure gauge for use as a general condition monitor. Compression tester can also give indications. Car and bike engines are small so if the engine is on the bench for an overhaul it is just as easy to change bearing and rings etc, while it is there.

But as you say it is for a hobby so no harm to be done. Just treat is as part of the hobby.

Oh !! dear jesu another oil specialist, just service the bloody vehicle it's not a rocket space station.

That was the reason for my question to the OP.....????

As you know, my chum rebuilds/restores vintage motorcycles, predominantly, Brough Superiors, now we worked together on stuff, and I can honestly say, oil never came into any conversation regarding these very expensive machines.....????

Yes, but even those that hadn't been maintained, actually restored from the grave, ended up being worth big money....????

Amazing what matching numbers can be worth....
