So, where is Somyot going?

To recap: he was the National Police Chief in 2014 who borrowed 300 million baht from the owner of Victoria's Secret Massage Parlor who became a criminal fugitive in 2018, also he was instrumental in the murder conviction of the two Burmese on Koh Tao in 2014 (having first lost and then re-found the crucial DNA evidence), also he awarded 3 million baht (earmarked to reward information from the public) to police in the 2015 Erewan Shrine bombing...

and then he bought the Football Association Presidency in 2016, after his police term had finished.

Now it seems he has to resign his Presidency by request from General Prawit to take responsibility for the brawl that broke out between the Thai and Indonesian players during the SEA Games football final on May 16 in Cambodia. Gen Prawit is not only Deputy PM, but also chairman of the Thai National Olympic Committee (an amazing juggling act by a sleepy guy).

So, again, where is Somyot going? He is obviously talented and a shining example of Thai high officialdom...

Now that's a whole different league and plays by very different rules.
