"Klongthom Center, (all the taxi drivers will know where this is, about 2 bus stops from Ratchawong Pier, along Chareon Krung Road and Ratchawong Road ), is a good place to shop and prices are very cheap."

Lots more, just do a google for:  klong thom center

I think the nearest BTS/MRT would be Hua Lampong station (MRT)

Mai Chai or anyone that can help:

Can anyone tell me the name of the area behind MBK/ National Stadium where one can find shops selling second hand parts and tyres/wheels?

From what I heard from the taxi driver the area is called Ju Lang. Is the spelling correct?

Thanks

I guess you mean "Chula"

That area we can call "Banthat Thong"(บรรทัดทอง), "Khet Suan Luang"(เขตสวนหลวง) , Pathumwan(ปทุมวัน)

Map of that area http://www.hotelthailand.com/map/shoping/pratunam.html

There are approximately 100 shops in Chula soi 26,28,30 and 32

List of shops in that area (Thai Language)

http://www.heavyequipmentthailand.com/samakom/suanlong.htm

Note. Shops selling second hand parts are called "Chaing Gong"( เชียงกง ) (Chinese Language)
