Two Weeks In Thailand In October This Year

Featured Replies

I am coming back to Thailand for my 10th holiday in 4 years. To date, I have seen Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Issan. This time I want to try something different.

My partner lives in Bangkok and has 2 weeks' holiday from 20 October to 04 November. Neither of us is into nightlife, so we plan to give Koh Samui a miss.

Instead we are interested in spending a few days on Koh Chang. We plan to fly from BKK with Bangkok Airways. Any body have any recommendations on where to stay? Looking for a room/bungalow with air-con and en suite, 2 or 3 stars.

I would also like a couple of days in both Cambodia and Laos. Any suggestions?

Peter

Well, I'd recommend Chiang Mai if you've never been. I'd been all the usual places in Tland, visited Chiang Mai and ended up living here! Love Vientiane, but really just for a few days. If you were to go to one place in Laos, Luang Prabang is the must-see, I s'pose.

Don't know about your travel style, but I try to keep it simple timewise, not too much running about. I'd fly to Chiang Mai for a few, see the the "Lanna Life" and if you need to see Laos, fly Laos Air to Luang Prabang for a few. Air CNX to Luang Prabang not cheap, but not crazy expensive, prolly 175 bucks round now.
