Police in Bangkok have arrested a Cambodian couple, charged with pickpocketing shoppers in the capital and entering the kingdom illegally. Nation Thailand reports that the arrests were announced by Bangkok police at a press conference yesterday, August 27.

The couple is accused of stealing from over 100 shoppers at various Bangkok malls. They have been named as 31 year old Boy “Bui” Yangha and his wife, 27 year old Som “Mary” Jean.

According to poluceg, both were arrested in front of the room they were renting at the Sup Asia Apartment building on Soi Sukhumvit 111, in Samut Prakan, just outside Bangkok, on Saturday.

Pickpocketing, rather like Arthur Askey, you don't much about either of them these days. The Cambodians were probably short of money and wanted a sandwich.

Must of been highly-skilled pickpockets to have got away with stealing shoes, wonder how long it took the victims to notice?

Yes, or maybe stupid people put their shoes in their pockets.

Thankfully such a rare thing in LoS along with beggars tailing you relentlessly...or hawkers...bag snatches by scooter guys etc....in Viet Nam

Thought pricey electronic audio gear would get stolen in post coming to LoS international in-bound...NEVER in my case anyway...wow !

Go to a food court and steal a sandwich then?

Is it my imagination or is the wife the same size as the 8ft mans leg ?

Yes. Both perps are a good height for pocket picking.
