A tragic vehicular accident involving a six-wheeled private delivery truck and a student minibus resulted in the death of the minibus driver and injured over 20 students. The incident occurred today in the jurisdiction of Pa Daet Police Station, Chiang Rai.

 

The authorities were notified about the accident on Road No. 1126 in the Mai Tai Village, Moo 6, Pa Daet, Chiang Rai. Upon receiving the information, officers from Pa Daet Police Station, the Chiang Rai Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, the Department of Highways, local administrative organisations, and area rescue units immediately rushed to the scene.

 

The vehicular accident site was a two-lane straight road with traffic moving in opposite directions. The uphill lane had a Toyota minibus, grey with registration number NAK937, Chiang Rai, parked within its lane.

 

The front of the minibus was severely damaged due to a head-on collision with a white Isuzu six-wheel delivery truck, Bangkok registration number 3THCH2139. The impact was such that the roof of the minibus caved in on the driver’s side while the truck overturned and lay next to it.

On a straight road, I guess the delivery driver was impatient.

Minibus with 20 students overloaded, many injured, hope they fine the driver of the minibus as well as deal with the lorry driver.

How would that work?

I'm sure all 20 students in a 16 seat max minibus were following the law of wearing seat belts.
