Donald Trump has stormed out of his $250million fraud trial after a series of legal blows that saw him fined $10,000 and his request for a directed verdict denied. 

In a dramatic courtroom outburst Wednesday afternoon, the former president threw his arms up in the air before getting up and leaving in a huff, sending Secret Service agents chasing after him. 

The abrupt departure came shortly after he had been fined for a second time for violating a gag order and moments after one of his lawyers finished questioning fixer-turned-foe Michael Cohen, who testified that Trump did not direct him to inflate the value of his properties. 

 

The admission - which contradicts Cohen's earlier testimony - prompted defense attorney Clifford Robert to ask for a directed verdict, arguing that his statement was grounds for dismissal. 

Judge Arthur Engoron said it was 'absolutely denied' and that the case had 'evidence all over the place.' He also said he did not consider Cohen a 'key witness'. 

'There's enough evidence in this case to fill this courtroom,' the judge said.

Having gone through life never facing any accountability then being put in the stand and schooled by a judge must of hurt.

 

I advise the court not to accept a personal check for payment of the fine.

Getting close to the edge there, buddy!  Public tantrum that IS NOT in front of a MAGA crowd makes him a possible target for the men with the butterfly nets.  Secret Service needs to keep a hypo of thorazine at the ready.

I wonder what "incentive" Cohen was given to cause his change of testimony?

 

Seems the judge isn't very impartial. He's not supposed to make comments about evidence before a verdict is announced, IMO.

He wasn’t given any incentive.

 

The verdict has been announced, we are awaiting the ruling on the size of the penalty.

You are absolutely right, the verdict was enounced , I think a couple of weeks ago, if some people watched real news outlets rather than the fox news entertainments network   they would had known that. 

As you said, what they need to do now is determine  the damages. 

This is how it was explained to me , on a news show. 

You are a CEO of a company, friday night , everyone goes home and you take a few thousands out of the company's account, you go to a cassino and gamble with these funds and wins. Then you come back Sunday  , put the money you took back. No foul no harm right?

Wrong! first you endanger the funds of the company , and your winnings are ill-gotten profit and needs to be given back to those the CEO harmed. 

So now what needs to be determined are damages. How much of his profits were ill-gotten , Who was harmed, and for how much.

trump is screwed, because to recoup these ill-gotten  profits , properties will have to be sold, and many people do not want to be associated with the trump brand, so these properties will sell well below , pre-trump presidency value. For the Mar-a -Largo property trump  valued Mar-a-Lago as high as $739 million.

Good luck getting anything close to that.

Trump wasn’t seeking loans for no reason.

 

He’s upside down on his investments, any substantial penalties might very well topple his house of cards.

 

 

Add 3 more zeros the that fine and he wouldn't be a millionaire anymore.

First offence he was fined $5000 second 10,000 third 20,000, fourth 40,000 fifth 80,000

you see where I am going with this. 

if I did my math right after 10 times that trump opens his big mouth. it would be $5,120,000.

after 10 more times and it will be something like 5 billion.  So keep flapping your gums trump.

Just for once get your facts straight. He has already found guilty; this is to assess how big the fine will be.
