Miss Pearson had been a victim of a bag snatching incident near the Windsor Resort Hotel in the Muang district of Lopburi, reported Siam Rath. Local police, in collaboration with the tourist police, facilitated her testimony at the Lopburi Provincial Court. They also arranged for a translator from the tourist police to assist her during the pre-trial witness testimony for the charge of "snatching assets using a vehicle for convenience or to transport the assets".
