Black plastic garbage bags work fine. They are available at any good supermarket. The animal will settle down nicely after only a few minutes.

It's my impression that dogs in Thailand don't want to sleep in baskets. They don't need any softness and it's much cooler to sleep on bare, heat conducting floor like tiles or concrete.

Well, at least this seems to apply to those 15-20 dogs, whose habits I'm familiar with
