BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) has officially opened the Human Security Emergency Management Center (HuSEC), aimed at giving support and real-time evaluation to those facing social issues.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Social Development and Human Security Varawut Silpa-archa said the center will serve as the main assistance coordinator for every group of people, and function as the main agency in terms of assistance and welfare-related management, control, referral, and progress tracking.

HuSEC is to help consolidate services currently provided at several MSDHS’ agencies under a single roof, primarily on the assistance for children, women, the elderly, victims of domestic abuse, and people with housing issues.

The center is equipped with rapid response teams that are on standby 24 hours a day, together with multidisciplinary teams to provide assistance. HuSEC is also equipped with a real-time monitoring system, allowing officials to keep track of the active cases and keep related persons informed of the progress.

People seeking help can call the Social Assistance Center hotline 1300, chat with the ESS Help Me official account on the LINE messaging app, or directly contact social workers at the MSDHS and its provincial offices.
