July 17, 200718 yr i need to be at SUVA to pick up my girlfriend at 6 am on a tuesday. i don't wanna stay at the novotel, or the sanawan, or the others that are relatively close to the airport. I like to stay at the sofitel silom (when i'm feeling posh) or the Siam Ibis on Rajapralop when I'm feeling sensible. so, my question, assuming I'll be traveling aroun 5 in the am to the airport what do you think my travel time is going to be? whats the traffic like then? and same thing coming back, around 730 i would imagine. Seems like i'll be in the heart of rush hour.

July 17, 200718 yr Author Thanks sir. Guess I'll leave around 530 or 6 . I imagine she'll be making it through customs around 715. i'd cut it closer but there will be hel_l to pay if i'm not in clear view when she gets out to where the touts are.
July 17, 200718 yr I do the opposite journey every day, passing the airport area in to town at 6.30 am. Traffic is very good in both directions on the bangna-trat elevated (airport rear entrance) and on the bangkok-chonburi rd (front entrance). Going in to town by the bangna-trat elevated way will be a bugger when you hit the Sukhumvit 62 tollway (where they join) - i'd say 1 1/4 hours minimum to silom.
