On November 12, 2023, at 7:30 PM, a car accident occurred in Soi Tharapbunchai 28, Bang Mueang, Samut Prakan. The driver, returning from a religious ceremony, unfamiliar with the route, crashed into an electric pole, causing it to fall onto a passing motorcycle, injuring the rider.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Phatcharathon Nophathunsawat, the duty officer at Samut Prakan Police Station, responded to the accident report. The car driver, Anurak Daengthet, 28, admitted to drinking a small amount of alcohol. He lost control of his vehicle on an unfamiliar curve, colliding with the electric pole, which then fell onto a motorcycle, reported 77kaoded.

The incident led to a power outage in a 2-kilometer radius, affecting thousands of households. The Metropolitan Electricity Authority blocked the power supply in the accident area and redirected electricity from other sources. The power was restored after approximately three hours, and the fallen electric pole was replaced.

Authorities photographed the scene for evidence, took the car driver to the police station for an alcohol test, and will review nearby CCTV footage for further investigation.

so was it the poles fault - or someting else

 

or was the driver just incapable of driving and ### up

For those of us that have been driving for many years we are aware of that you always try to avoid telephone poles and trees, they just don't like to yield at all. Typically, when someone is paying attention and watching the road they tend to avoid telephone poles and trees. 

A good advice is to not drive to fast when you are unfamiliar with the route.

I note he was taken to a police station to be tested for alcohol. Confirming that the police hand-held breathylisers have already been transferred to local 4am bars to participate in the new trial.....😋

It was the Pole what fell on the Motorbike.
