Krabi – Four foreigners and two Thais from Phuket were rescued after water leaked into a yacht near Lanta Island over the past weekend.

The Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command told the Phuket Express that on Friday (November 24th) at 6:00 P.M. Navy officers stationed on Lanta Noi Island and staff from the Mu Ko Lanta National Park rescued six people on a yacht near the Five Islands (Koh Haa).

There were four foreigners (all male) and two Thais (1 male, 1 female) on the yacht. They were not injured. They were travelling from Phuket on the yacht when the yacht was hit by a wave before getting stuck on a rock, water then leaked into the yacht. They were all taken back to the mainland safely.
