The passport must have been revoked after he entered Thailand, if so then he was on borrowed time. 1
JoseThailand
I wonder why they revoked his passport. It's so communist.

Hakuna Matata
How many more fugitives and criminals from all over the world have found a safe heaven in Thailand? Most of them are concentrated in Pattaya and Phuket, some of them in Bangkok as well.

"Revoked' is not the right word. Probably, his passport was just "Expired". 1 1

Since Visa requirements have been waived for some very highly populated countries, and dare I say countries with not insignificant criminal counts, we can only expect more.
jippytum
Only the Chinese involvement led to the arrest

I think I read, last week, that his PP had been revoked by China and a formal request had been made requesting his apprehension.

Reckon "Revoked" was the correct word, according to the 2nd article he has an unspecified arrest warrant issued by China. Must have been speaking out of turn.

gargamon
China has been getting people arrested and deported in Canada and the US for years. Both countries have now stopped allowing this as the “criminals“ being deported were actually only people that had been critical of the CCP. No idea what the real story about this “criminal“ is.
