DeputyDawg
Police Major Pacharawit from Banglamung Police Station was called to the Sukumvit Road in Naklua after reports of a Pattaya Police Volunteer attempting to extort money from a member of the public were received. Arriving at the scene, the Police Volunteer had already been detained. The complainant, Khun Yootasak aged 25 accompanied the Police Volunteer; Khun Oaypon aged 26 to the Stationhouse. The arrestee was carrying a two way radio and a copy of a training certificate issued by Pattaya Police confirming his status as a Police Volunteer. Khun Yootasak, who was driving along the Sukumvit Road, explained that he was approached by the suspect on a motorbike and was ordered to pull over. He complied and was allegedly told by the Volunteer that he must hand over 1,000 Baht or he would be in trouble. He did so but immediately reported the incident to Banglamung Police who located and arrested the Volunteer who is now behind bars on a charge of extortion. http://www.pattayacitynews.net/news_18_07_50_4.htm
Humphrey Bear
So - his training manual didn't explain the correct procedure for extorting money, or was he not going to split it with the rest of the boys?
