A new bill that decriminalises the writing of bad cheques has passed it’s first reading.


MPs from both sides of the house say the current law is outdated, 


The new law would prevent criminal liability against those who unintentionally write bad cheques, unless they are used with criminal intent to defraud.


Seventy-three illegal migrants  from Bangladesh have been arrested in Songkhla and Phatthalung while being smuggled to work in Malaysia.


The 28 year old Thai driver admitted taking 15 illegal migrants from Chachoengsao to Songkhla for 2,000 baht per head. 

 

Chiang Mai’s Governor has instructed local authorities to investigate and seize, then auction off property that has been purchased illegally by chinese nationals, many had opened a company using Thai nominees to then purchase land and develop housing estates.


Thailand intends to increase efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to reduce the impacts of climate change, Thailand's head of climate change said the decision follows participation in the COP28 conference in Dubai, Carbon emissions were to be reduced by 30 percent, but this will be increased to a 40 percent reduction by 2030.
