TWO GAMBLING WEBSITES based in Bangkok have been raided, a combined sum of 120 million baht in cash impounded and 20 suspected gambling operators arrested, police said today (Dec.22).

The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau police recently raided the two separate online gambling websites, namely ufabet-jc.com and play.beer777.com, at condominiums in Hua Mark area and at a house in Lard Prao area of the capital and seized wads of cash totaling about 120 million baht and some 30 million baht in valuables including luxury sedans as well as computers and equipment allegedly used in the illicit gambling scams.

Arrested on charges of running the illegal online business were 20 suspected gambling website operators, including programmers and rogue account holders.

there is also a slot machine app doing the rounds in Thailand, I know a girl who was drawn in and lost over Bt300k, many of her friends also lost big money, I saw them glued to their phones over the last few weeks and they were all playing it.

wow ! .... 300k is a huge amount for a Thai. I was hooked on the pokies for a long time, hence i'm so glad they're not in Thailand.  The thinking is that your next spin will get that big pay ....  and then you get nothing.   I do know some thais who spend alot on football & lottery tickets.

Thats a serious amount of cash, is it not about time they legalized gambling in the land of scams?

120 mil baht raid ....  and it's all cash   !   the RTP boss must be overcome with excitement !!

and just in time for the xmas party   .....     plenty of gifts this year including new cars.

I used to have a neighbour who was Thai, would spend between 10 to 15 thousand baht a month on lottery tickets on top of that play cards in the local gambling dens,

yeah I was shocked when she told me, it's a typical cycle for these type of things - you get a couple of small wins at the start (likely done on purpose) then you are hooked, from then you are chasing another win which rarely happens and before you know you are chasing your loss getting deeper and deeper, they are designed to lure you in then you're hooked and into a downward spiral, unregulated they can do what they want with the programing even targeting individuals who develope certain trends - it is a scam 100%

I couldn't figure out what the girls were doing with their faces buried in there phones more than usual and when I looked they were all playing this slots scam - they actually thought they could win, I talked a few of them out of it and they now realise it was a scam but they all lost various sums of money - sad really

I bet the cleaner at the photo shoot was smiling .....

....or it will be re gambled! Luckee luckee! 🙏

I don't get it. If they're online websites, how come they've got 120 million in cash kicking around? You mean they regularly empty the mule accounts the hapless punters are paying into? Why? Why not go straight to coin or whatever? And buying such visible assets? Insane!

This is truly a sad situation. Gambling scams can be devastating to people. People who do this should be immediately put in jail. But there are legal methods for such games. Everything is mostly fair there. There are a lot of pirate games and people lose there. I recently read about no deposit poland, found https://casinosanalyzer.com/bonuses-by-countries/poland-pol for this. Not a bad option in my opinion. By the way, in many countries there is legalization for this. You can definitely trust them.

In fact, everyone thinks they can win. There are many schemes for getting any person hooked. It’s just that at first they let you win a lot, the person thinks, well, I’m lucky and continues to play. He bets more and more, but loses. He just has hope that he will be lucky again like in the beginning.
