I am told even though we are in the same province that I cannot have my current visa and work permit transferred to the new job because of moving from a government school  to a private school.. I also am being told I have to leave the country twice--once to get a tourist visa, and then the second time to get a non-b at the embassy.  I am also being told that the US Embassy in Bangkok has to c4tify my diploma, and I must get my transcript translated and also certified by the embassy. The school is inexperienced and needs some help, as do I.  I am lost as they are saying this is what immigration told them.

In my experience, most of what you have said is untrue.  That said, getting support or agreement from 100 (?) people here is not going to help you.  You need to have the personnel officer from your new school talk to your Immigration and Labour offices.
