RandolphGB
When employment with a Thai company ends, they will cancel the work permit with the labor department and the non-b work visa will come to an end. How many days before the cancellations takes effect? How long must the holder wait before they can change to a new visa?
khunphil
I think the cancellation of work permit and Visa B extension is done the same day. Can't you have your new visa before cancellation (maybe make a deal with your supplier) ? Just asking ... Also, you should have 7 days if no mistake to leave the country but if you have a new employment, you can try to see how immigration office can help you (maybe giving some extension), good luck. 1
Neeranam
The DoL does not tell immigration. I got a job once, left after a month and kept my visa with no issue. Never cancelled WP. The only issue was I was fined when I got a new visa and new job/WP. 1500 baht from the Din Daeng police station. This was 20 years ago so may have changed. I believe only an immigration officer can cancel a visa. Edited January 4 by Neeranam

bigt3116
The very first thing to determine is if you have a visa or an extension.
