I am posting this for a friend, so while you are welcome to PM me, I don't have a lot of other info other than what is contained here. I do know that the dogs were extremely expensive but the owner is more concerned about finding them a good home than recovering that cost so that is negotiable.

Keza is a female, aged 3.5 and not neutered. The darker dogs is Teddy Bear, a male aged 1.7 and neutered. They need not be homed together. Both are imposing but gentle, and great with children. Keza may not get along well with any existing dogs in the household, but Teddy Bear is good with all.

Contact the owner, Ken 092-785-9221 if you are interested.

Where are they located?

Lovely dogs, these two.

A couple of words, though...

Not a dog fitting for new dog owners.

Sheds like crazy (but otherwise, super clean).

Maybe not super happy outdoors in Thailand, especially when it's hot.

`I had a female Akita for 12-14 years here. All white, pink nose, beautiful dog. We got her when she was two and really had no problems the first ten-twelve years, then she developed some skin problems.

She was a yard dog and seem to do fine. Sheading was not too bad except once a year when she molted. Fur all over the yard for two weeks. Had to rake it up along the fence.

When I traveled, I'd leave her at the plant with the security guard. The guys at the plant all liked her.

I would say she wasn't very bright, but she was two when we got her, and she had been mostly caged up until then. Happy dog, she loved riding in the back of the pickup, was good a leash and really liked people.

Great dog, I would take one or both if I had a decent yard.

Good luck.

Please encourage him to get the female spayed before he rehomes her. No matter how good the new home appears to be, a dog like that is very likely to end up in a puppy farm being bred to death if he doesn't.

What's wrong with puppies?

From a reputable breeder that limits the number of litters, takes good care of the parents and pups, and tries to ensure they go to a good home, nothing.

From puppy farms, where they keep them in vile conditions so the pups are sickly from the start, force three litters a year, and then dump or kill the mother when she can't produce enough pups anymore, everything.

A well-bred Akita like that would be a money-making machine. 3 litters a year, 7-8 pups per litter, they can easily sell them for $1,000 each, double that if she's got pedigree papers. To go from being a loved household pet to that, she'll be lucky to survive another 4 years. The owner wants a good home for her, but the money she can make will be too great a temptation for many.

Beautiful pups.  You'll find a good home soon for sure!

Bang Sare. I think the owner would travel pretty far in order to show them to serious, prospective home. Where are you?

Yes, same general area. Please do let them know and contact me or Ken if there is any interest. Thanks.

Lovely dogs ...but the owner wants to sell them?

You would think the right person & home would be the priority.

Negotiable eh? If they were my dogs i would be paying the new owner to take care of them because of my inability to do so.

Shameless expats!

Unfortunately this forum has a reputation for this kind of comment, so it doesn't surprise me.

Thank you for that information.

Now the pics of the dogs, they are really nice looking dogs, I'm sure their feelings will be hurt when their owner parts with them.

Hope they find a really good home.

Why are the dogs tied up in the first pic?

So they don't run off.

Because they were extremely expensive and Ken doesn't want to lose his investments.
