Reduced non-immigrant visa fees proposed

July 20, 2007 : Last updated 04:15 pm

The Interior Ministry is seeking to reduce non-immigrant visa fee from Bt2,000 to Bt500 for 30,000 Laotians, Cambodians and Burmese residents.

An informed source at the Government House Friday disclosed that the ministry already drafted the ministerial regulation for the proposed reduction.

sorry ................

Nothing would suprise me.

Dual pricing?

Dual pricing?

100% of THB500 is better than 0% of THB2000, eh?

Just how does this maybe change have anything to do with expats ?

OK. I am not upset but the thread has nothing in common with the expats in this forum. / CLOSED

But I will close it now that you have had your fun.

Envy, I guess.

Aside from that I suspect strongly that the Nation reporter got it all wrong, talking about a limited number of foreign residents from some neighbouring countries being offered a lower fee for a non-immigrant visa. Just doesn’t make sense. If they are already in Thailand, what do they need a non-immigrant visa for? Who would be issuing it to them? More sloppy reporting, in my opinion. (I remember another article talking about mirrors when they meant windows)
